The 1/4th Leicestershire battalion arrived in France at the beginning of March, 1915 as part of the Lincoln and Leicester Brigade of the North Midland Division which, in May, became 138 Brigade of 46th Division. George Frampton died from wounds on 2nd April, 1915 when the battalion were undergoing trench warfare training at Dranoutre but the battalion diary provides no further information concerning his death. |
